Helena Franca graduated in industrial design at University IUAV “Istituto Universitario di Architettura” in Venice. She also studied interior design at “Istituto superiore di arti operative” Perugia and at ICS Glasgow. She attended many design workshops with designers as Ilkka Suppanen, Paolo Favaretto, Ramin Razani, Tomoko Azumi, Pippo Lionni (Vitra Design workshop, Boisbuchet, France). In 2003 her lamp “Ombre-light” received special mention from a member of jury Jaime Hayon at competition Luse. In 2006 she was awarded with third prize at AL.design competition, president of jury Enzo Mari. Her works were exhibited in Treviso, Venice, Milan (Milan design week 2004 and Salone satellite 2005), Ljubljana, Copenhagen (Code fair, Designboom Mart, 2009). She lived for a period of time in Finland, where she was intern at Studio Suppanen in Helsinki. She worked for furniture companies and showrooms in Italy and Slovenia, designing privat interiors and developing hotel and retail projects. In 2007 she joined the team of Advertising agency Pan in Ljubljana, where she was responsible for packaging design and also worked on exhibition design projects, graphic design and brand development. In 2009 and 2010 she collaborated with Studio 2050 in Ljubljana, as tutor of industrial and interior design annual course. She started working as indipendent designer in 2009. Her work includes diverse range of industrial and interior design project, visual communication, concept development, design research and brand development.
